　オープンワールド狩猟シミュレーション『Way of the Hunter 2 ウェイ オブ ザ ハンター２』が発表されました。本作は、『Way of the Hunter』を手がけたNine Rocks Gamesが開発する最新作で、新たな技術基盤のもと、長期にわたるアップデートや拡張を視野に入れた設計となっています。

　本作では、シリーズ初となる「ハンティングドッグ」が登場します。狩猟犬は、動物の痕跡を探したり、逃げた獲物の血痕を追跡したりと、狩猟をサポートする頼もしいパートナーです。訓練を重ねることで成長し、指示への反応も向上していきます。

■カナダの大自然を舞台に
　最初の狩猟エリアは、広大なカナダの荒野。ムース、エルク、クマ、バイソンといった大型動物から、ウサギ、七面鳥、その他の鳥類まで、多様な野生動物が生息しています。プレイヤーは新たにこの地を訪れたハンターとして、2つの環境を舞台にした物語を体験。地元のレンジャーと協力しながら、ムースの群れに起きている異変の謎を追います。

・ハンティングドッグ
　狩猟犬があなたの狩りをサポート。動物の痕跡を探し、血痕を追跡し、負傷した獲物を見つけ出します。訓練を重ねることで、犬は成長し、より確実に指示に応えるようになります。

・ショットレビュー
　改良されたバレットカメラで、弾道、速度、角度、着弾位置などを詳細に分析。技術を磨き、より正確な射撃を目指せます。

・ハンティングロッジ
　次の狩猟の計画を立て、獲得したトロフィーを飾り、アップグレードを解除できる拠点。各マップに固有のロッジが用意されています。

・ハイテク装備
　10以上の実在ブランドとのパートナーシップにより、ライフル、光学機器、アパレルなど、リアルな狩猟ギアを使用可能。ナイトビジョンや狩猟エリアのモニタリング機能も強化されています。
