本作は自然溢れる未開の土地を探索していくオフロードドライブアドベンチャーだ。プレイヤーの前に立ちはだかるのは，切り立った崖や急登が続く山岳地帯や鬱蒼と茂った森林といった未舗装の土地ばかり。トレイラーでは，ドローンによる地形の偵察，ウィンチやアンカーを使っての急傾斜の登坂，金属探知機を使った周辺地域の探索といったさまざまなガジェットを使って過酷な土地を冒険していく様子が収められている。

オフロードを疾走する「Expeditions: A MudRunner Game」，2024年にリリース。自然溢れる未開の土地をさまざまな装備を用いて探索せよ
Focus Entertainmentは本日（2024年8月23日）配信された，「gamescom 2023」のオープニングイベント「gamescom Opening Night Live」にて，「Expeditions: A MudRunner Game」（PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S / Switch / PS4 / Xbox One）を2024年内に発売すると発表した。
