オープンワールド狩猟シム「Way of the Hunter 2」，早期アクセスをSteamで開始。PS5/Xbox Series X|S版の発売も決定

　THQ Nordic Japanは2026年3月26日，PC（Steam）向けソフト「Way of the Hunter 2 ウェイ オブ ザ ハンター2」の早期アクセスを開始した。価格は4389円。4月10日までは20％オフの3511円（いずれも税込）で購入できる。


　本作は，Nine Rocks Gamesが開発する「Way of the Hunter」の続編で，広大な自然環境を舞台に狩猟を楽しめるオープンワールド型のシミュレーションゲームだ。プレイヤーはカナダの荒野を訪れたハンターとなり，ヘラジカやクマ，バイソンなどの大型動物から鳥類や小型動物まで，多様な野生動物を相手に狩猟を行う。
　そして，熟練のドッグトレーナーらと協力しながら，ヘラジカの群れに見られる異常行動の謎を追っていく。


　狩猟では，動物の痕跡や血痕を追跡する猟犬をはじめ，ライフルやショットガン，弓といった多彩な武器，デコイやブラインド，アニマルコールなどの装備が登場する。弾道や着弾位置を確認できる射撃分析機能や，狩りの計画を立てたりトロフィーを展示したりできるハンティングロッジも用意されており，リアルな狩猟体験を楽しめるという。

　早期アクセス版には，カナダの狩猟エリア「ニューローレンシア」が収録され，車両による探索やテントを使ったファストトラベルにも対応する。早期アクセス期間は約6か月を予定しており，プレイヤーの意見を取り入れながら，システムの改善やコンテンツの拡充を進めていくとのこと。


　なお，正式版はPCに加えて，PlayStation 5とXbox Series X|S向けにも発売が予定されている。
