メキシカンプロレスをフィーチャーしたスポーツアクション，「Lucha Libre AAA: 2011 Heroes del Ring」の北米発売は10月に

　マスクマンがトレードマークのメキシカンプロレス“ルチャリブレ”を初めてゲーム化した作品，「Lucha Libre AAA: 2011 Heroes del Ring」（PlayStation 3/Xbox 360/Wii/PSP）の北米での発売が，10月12日に決まった。
　この作品は，自国のゲーム開発環境の向上を目的とするメキシコ政府の支援プログラムを利用して開発されており，北米のパブリッシングを担当するSlangも，アメリカ国内の中南米出身者に向けたタイトルを販売するために設立された，新たなパブリッシャだ。

　メキシコのプロレス団体「AAA」（トリプレア）の協賛を得た本作は，ゲーム内のアナウンスもスペイン語が使われるという本格的なもの。「みちのくプロレス」や「プロレスリング・ノア」に参戦した過去を持ち，帰国後の2009年，遺体で発見された悲劇のルチャドール（プロレスラー），アビスモ・ネグロ（ブラック・アビス）らトリプレア所属の選手が多数フィーチャーされており，六角形のリング上で彼らの激しい戦いが楽しめそうだ。

　PlayStation 3/Xbox 360版の開発は，「Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia」などで知られるImmersion Gamesが行なっており，Monster Madness同様「Unreal Engine 3」が使用された，ハイレベルなグラフィックスが期待できる。そのほかのプラットフォームについては，メキシコのSabarasa Studiosというメーカーが開発を担当している。
　Slangの公式サイトには，英語とスペイン語に加えて日本語版のサイトも用意されているので，本作を楽しみにしている人はぜひチェックを。また，北米以外を担当するパブリッシャとして日本のKONAMIの名前があるが，現在のところ日本国内の販売に関する公式発表は行われていない。
