Bethesda Softworks，「Fallout 3」のDLC，「Operation Anchorage」の最新画像を公開

　Bethesda Softworksは北米時間の1月8日，「Operation Anchorage」（オペレーション・アンカレッジ）の最新スクリーンショット3点を公開した。11月26日の記事でもお伝えしたように，Operation Anchorageは現在発売中のシングルプレイRPG「Fallout 3」の最初のダウンロードコンテンツであり，PCとXbox 360で配信される。もともとは，2008年12月中にダウンロードが始まる予定だったが，今月末配信開始に変更されている。価格はXbox 360版が800マイクロソフトポイントで，PC版が9ドル99セントになるようだ。

　Operation Anchorageの舞台となるのはアラスカで，本編で言及されていたアンカレッジ解放戦が描かれる。プレイヤーはシミュレータを使って過去に行われた戦闘を体験するという設定になっており，シミュレータに入ると武器や装備品を失い，異なるルールに従わなければならない。新たな武器や防具，ユニークな装備品などが使え，公開されたスクリーンショットからも分かるように，ゲームの雰囲気は本編とかなり異なっている。

　ダウンロードコンテンツは三部作になることが計画されており，第二弾は荒廃としたピッツバーグを舞台にした「The Pitt」。第三弾はちょっと詳細が分からないが，メインクエストに続いて遊べる「Broken Steel」になるらしい。配信開始日や詳しい情報が分かり次第，お伝えしよう。
