「FIFA 11」の最新画像が到着。イギリスのプレミアリーグはFIFAシリーズ独占契約へ

　Electronic Artsが，この秋のリリースを予定しているサッカーゲーム「FIFA 11」（PC/PS3/Xbox 360/Wii/NDS/PSP/PS2）の最新画像が公開された。以前公開された画像では，2009/2010年度のプレミアリーグでチャンピオンとなったチェルシーFCのユニフォームが古いままだったが，最新画像では襟周りに赤いアクセントがあしらわれた新デザインへと置き換えられている。


　「こちら」の記事でも紹介した「Personality＋」モードなど，新しい機能が数々フィーチャーされているFIFA 11だが，今年は新たに生まれ変わった「FIFA 11 for Wii」もリリースすることが発表されている。
　こちらは，ほかのプラットフォームとはまったく異なるゲームエンジンや仕様で制作されており，派手なフットスキルを駆使した，5対5によるストリートモードも楽しめる。オリジナル版よりはカジュアルな雰囲気だが，ペースも早くて友人と遊ぶと盛り上がれそうだ。

　また先週末には，Electronic Artsがバークレイズ・プレミアリーグと独占契約を結んだことが発表されており，今後プレミアリーグはEA Sportsの作品のみでフィーチャーされることになる。
　サッカーゲームにおけるFIFAシリーズのライバルといえる「ウイニングイレブン」シリーズを発売するKONAMIにとっては，このElectronic Artsによる寡占化は大きな痛手になるかもしれない。
