撃って撃って撃ちまくる，「Borderlands」のプレイムービーを掲載

　北米のデベロッパ，2K Gamesがサンフランシスコで「Borderlands」のイベントを開催したのは既報のとおり。FPSにRPGをミックスしたハイブリッドなタイトルだが，2K Gamesから提供されたプレイムービーを掲載した。

　「Fallout 3」（PC/PLAYSTATION 3/Xbox 360）や「Mass Effect」（PC/Xbox 360）が，RPGにシューティング要素を取り込んだタイトルだとすれば，BorderlandsはFPS側からRPGに歩み寄った作品なのだとデペロッパであるGearbox SonftwareのCEO，Randy Pitchford氏は語る。
　というわけで，なんだかんだいっても一人称視点での銃器による撃ち合いがメインとなる本作。その銃撃感や，スクリーンに表示されるHUD，そして凶暴な犬のようなモンスターSkag，さらには，敵であるバンデット達のモデリングやAIなどを確認してほしい。
　もちろん，開発終盤で大幅に変更されたトゥーンタッチのグラフィックスなども注目したいところだ。
