　2002年のGame of The Yearが発表に

　The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences（AIAS）が，2002年のGame of The Yearなどを発表した。栄えあるGoTYには，Electronic Artsの，第二次世界大戦シューティングアクション「Battlefield 1942」が選ばれた。
　以下，各賞のリストを上げておこう。

Game of The Year：「Battlefield 1942」

Computer Game of The Year：「Battlefield 1942」
Computer Action Game of The Year：「Grand Theft Auto III」
Computer First-Person Action Game of The Year：「Medal of Honor：Allied Assault」
Computer Role-Playing Game of The Year：「Neverwinter Nights」
Computer Strategy Game of The Year：「Warcraft III：Reign of Chaos」
Computer Simulation Game of The Year：「The Sims Unleashed」
Computer Sports Game of The Year：「Madden NFL 2003」

Massively Multiplayer/Persistent World Game of The Year：「The Sims Online」
Online Gameplay Game of The Year：「Battlefield 1942」

　こうしてみると，BF1942，MoHAA，The Sims，Madden NFLといった，Electronic Artsのゲームタイトルがずらりと並んでいることが分かる。なお，海外では賞を取ったゲームに関して，特別版などが発売される可能性が高いので，欲しいゲームがあったらチェックしておこう。（Asakura）
