Vivendi Universal 「Asia Games Summit」速報

　2003年9月16日より，シンガポールにおいてVivendi Universalが，アジア諸国の報道関係者を招いてのプレスカンファレンス「Asia Games Summit」を開催した。
　Vivendi Universalといえば，傘下にはBlizzard Entertainment，Sierra，Valve Softwareなど名だたるゲームメーカーを数多く抱える，世界でも有数の大ゲーム販売会社である。そのVivendi Universalが，現在注目されているアジア市場への販売強化策の一環として行ったのが，今回の「Asia Games Summit」だ。
　今回のカンファレンスに出展されたPCゲームは「Judge Dredd：Dredd vs. Death」「Ground Control 2：Operation Exodus」「Tribes：Vengeance」「The Hobbit」「The Lord of the Rings：War of the Ring」「The Lord of the Rings：Middle-Earth Online」の6タイトルと少ないものの，どれもがゲーマーにとっては非常に興味深いものといえる。
