ユービーアイソフトが放つ2D RPG，「チャイルド オブ ライト」をプレイムービーで紹介。この感触のよさは要注目だ

　ユービーアイソフトが2014年5月1日の発売を予定しているダウンロード専用タイトル，「チャイルド オブ ライト」（PC/PS4/PS3/Xbox One/Xbox 360/Wii U）を紹介するプレイムービーを掲載した。

　本作は，Ubisoft EntertainmentのMontreal studioが開発したファンタジーRPGで，同社のゲームエンジン「UBIart Framework」を駆使した水彩画風のグラフィックスが特徴的だ。


　絵本のような世界観や美しい旋律の音楽など，どちらかというとアーティスティックな要素がセールスポイントになっていた本作。もちろん，それらも魅力的なのだが，個人的にプレイして一番驚いたのは，なんとも言いがたい「感触のよさ」だ。


　キャラクターが飛び乗った枝のきしむ感じや，光を照らして敵の動きを止めるところなど，プレイしていてとても気持ちがいいのだ。とくに，初めて空を飛べるようになるチャプターには解放感があり，意味もなく飛び回ってみたり，ステージの隅まで行ってみたりと心地いい体験ができて，非常に気に入った。


　今回のムービーでは，そんな本作のゲーム概要と魅力をぎゅっと圧縮して紹介したい。さすがに，この感触のよさはプレイしないと分からないが，雰囲気だけでも感じ取っていただければと思う。
