ディースリー，「バイオショック 2」を2010年3月4日に発売。春はビッグダディとなって大暴れだ

ディースリー・パブリッシャーは本日（12月24日），PlayStation 3およびXbox 360向け「バイオショック 2」を，2010年3月4日に発売すると発表した。価格は7329円（税込）。
12月7日に掲載した記事でもお伝えしたように，本作は2008年に発売され，大ヒットした「バイオショック」（PC/PlayStation 3/Xbox 360）の続編。今回も再び不気味な海底都市，「ラプチャー」を舞台にした物語が展開する。

続編としての大きな特徴は，マルチプレイが追加されたことで，プレイヤーはスプライサーの一人として，ラプチャー荒廃の原因となった内戦に参加することになる。トニックやプラスミドといった特殊能力が使えるが，あまりたくさん使っていると外見が次第に崩れていくという，いかにもバイオショックという感じのフィーチャーがあるらしく，興味深い。
また，シングルプレイでは，プレイヤーがあのビッグダディとなってラプチャーで戦うことになる。プロトタイプのビッグダディなので，プラスミドのパワーも使え，どう考えても向かうところ敵なし！ という雰囲気だが，必ずしもそうではなく，強力なライバルとして「ビッグシスター」が登場してプレイヤーを苦しめるのだ。
あの潜水服の下はどんな姿になっているのだろう，と思っていた人には興味深い話ではないだろうか。そうでもない？
ちなみにシングルプレイは前作の10年後，マルチプレイは前作の1年前という，ちょっと変則的な設定になっている。
欧米では2010年2月のリリースが予定されているが，今回の発表で，欧米にそれほど遅れることなく発売されることが明らかとなったバイオショック 2。再びあの奇怪なラプチャーに足を踏み入れる日も，遠くないのである。
