「Fallout 3」のDLC，「Operation Anchorage」は1月27日リリースに

　SF RPG「Fallout 3」のダウンロードコンテンツ，「Operation Anchorage」は2009年1月27日にリリースされることとなった。対応はPC版とXbox 360版となっており，PLAYSTATION 3版向けには現在のところリリースされる予定はない。


　「Operation Anchorage」では，アメリカはアラスカ州の中心地アンカレッジの解放戦を描くもので，プレイヤーはゲーム内のシミュレータを使って，過去に行われたこの戦いを追体験するという内容だ（関連記事）。
　総プレイ時間は4〜5時間程度が見込まれており，この追加コンテンツ専用の武器や防具，アイテムなども登場するので，ゲーム本編とはまた一味違った冒険が味わえるだろう。
　なおダウンロードコンテンツは，第二弾「The Pit」が2月に，ゲーム本編のキャラクターレベルキャップ上限引き上げを含む第三弾「Broken Steel」が3月に，それぞれリリースされる予定となっている。

　また各プラットフォーム向けに，Version1.1パッチがリリースされた。PC英語版パッチは，Games for Windows LIVEからの自動ダウンロードが利用できるほか，海外公式サイトのからパッチファイル単体のダウンロードが可能だ（要年齢認証）。
　ゲームがクラッシュする問題の修正など，多岐に渡る問題修正が図られているので，本作を楽しんでいるプレイヤーはアップデートしておこう。このパッチの詳細は，海外公式サイトで確認できる。
