SOE，女性向けゲーム開発奨学金制度「G.I.R.L」の給付第一号を発表
Sony Online Entertainmentは，女性を対象としたゲーム開発奨学金プログラム「G.I.R.L」の給付者を発表した。
G.I.R.Lは，ゲームの開発者を目指す女子学生を対象に設立されたプログラムで，2008年2月に開催されたGDC 2008で発表されていた（関連ニュース）。
今回奨学金制度の給付第一号となったのは，アメリカのサンフランシスコでゲームのアートとデザインを学ぶ学生のJulia Brasilさん。給付金の1万ドルが贈られると共に，SOEのオースチン，デンバー，サンディエゴ，シアトルのいずれかのゲーム開発スタジオで，10週間の研修が行われる。
