第1回 グローバルオンラインゲームアワード，各部門の受賞作が公開

　先日お伝えした，Korea Game Industry Agency（KOGIA）が開催する「第1回 グローバルオンラインゲームアワード」が，16日に韓国ソウルで行われ，各部門の受賞作が公開された。


　これは，アメリカ，ドイツ，中国，韓国のゲーム専門メディアから編集長などが審査委員として参加し，ゲームシナリオ/企画，ゲームグラフィックス/キャラクター，ゲーム音楽/音響，技術性，独創性などを考慮し，六つの分野に分けて，受賞作を選ぶというものだ。

　RPG部門は，やはりというか全世界で人気作の，Blizzard Entertainmentの「World of Warcraft」が選ばれた。このほか，レーシング/カジュアル部門ではNEXON「Kart Rider」，シューティングゲーム部門はValve「Conter Strike Source」，アドベンチャー/アクション部門はNCsoft「City of Heroes」，スポーツゲーム部門はEA Sports「FIFA 09」，戦略シミュレーション部門はCCP Games「EVE Online」がそれぞれ選ばれている。EVE Onlineは，どちらかといえばRPGタイトルとしてのイメージがあるが，優秀な経済システムがシミュレーション要素として評価されたのかもしれない。

　韓国ゲーム産業振興院Gyu-nam Choi氏は，「今回のイベントで，韓国が全世界のオンラインゲーム産業の活性化に寄与する，重要なきっかけになるだろう」とコメントしている。
