AoEシリーズのEnsemble Studios，公式サイトで会社閉鎖のお知らせを発表
エイジ・オブ・エンパイアシリーズの開発元，Ensemble Studiosが突然の閉鎖となって2週間あまり（関連ニュース），代表のBruce Shelley氏が公式サイトにおいて閉鎖に関するコメントを発表した。
Shelley氏はコメントの中で，これまでいくつものゲーム開発スタジオの閉鎖を見てきたが，まさか自分の会社がそうなるとは思わなかったと正直に感想を述べた後，親会社のMicrosoftのこれからのゲーム戦略に意見の相違があったことから，Ensemble Studiosの閉鎖を決意したことを明らかにしている。
現在開発中のHaloシリーズ最新作「Halo Wars」は，今までどおりのメンバーが最後まで残って開発を続行する予定であるほか，Tony Goodman氏が，新たに独立系のゲーム開発スタジオを設立する予定があることなどが明かされている。なおShelley氏は，しばらくはBlogでの活動に重点をおくようで，新会社設立などについては言及されていない。
